Finishes and SALs

Phill’s mum has now returned home, so we’ve got the place to ourselves again.  It was nice to have her here, but at the same time it’s good to be back to normal.

I haven’t managed a  huge amount of stitching while she was here, but did manage to finish off something I started last year, a Little House Needleworks design called Needle and Thread.  The stitching is designed to be finished as a sort of quilt over the cushioned bed, making a safe place to keep your scissors and needles overnight.  I’ll attach it to the bed at the weekend.  The word “starlight” hasn’t come out very well on the picture, but it does show up quite well in real life.

I’ve been tempted into another SAL on the Needlecraft Haven forum, this time involving designs from The Sampler Girl.  I’ve chosen Northanger Abbey as my SAL design, so will be starting that tomorrow and working on it every Wednesday.  This is what it will look like when finished.

I will have some progress to share on Bramble & The Rose but will save that for the weekend, so I can squeeze a few more hours into it!

Looking forward to seeing your NA finish, i do love the Sampler Girl Jane Austin charts but have never got around to stitching one yet. I have my eye on the Christmas stocking though , my middle daughter would appriciate it as she love Jane Austin novels 😉
