Small finish

I have a small finish to share with you this week, it’s ABChat by Jardin Prive. It’s stitched on Oatmeal Belfast linen from The Crafty Kitten using an un-named thread from Hand Dyed Fibers which was part of a grab bag.

I started stitching this as a way of taking a break from Moonlight Garden when I was too tired to concentrate on the speciality stitches in that design. Trouble is, there were no evenings last week when I felt up to stitching Moonlight Garden, so I finished ABChat a little quicker than anticipated. This means I can now pick another small design as an easy night/lunch hour project and I have chosen Hearts in a Square designed by Claire. If you want a copy of the design drop her an email or comment on her blog and I’m sure she’d be thrilled to send you a copy. You can see a few versions of this design on Claire’s blog. Mine will be brown/red to match the colour scheme in my stitching room.

On 1st February I put Moonlight Garden away and moved on to another of my WIPs. This month is the turn of Brambles and the Rose, by Ink Circles. Here’s a picture of it when I picked it back up.

And here’s how it looks this evening

Four pages completed, another five to go! This is far easier to stitch on than Moonlight Garden so I am hoping to get lots more done this month.
